Late Visit

Last night he came over,
You know,
Sat down at my heart and smiled.
He said he knew me forever
Knows very well who I am,
As if I did not know!
He said he’ll take me soon.
At this we both laughed like crazy.
Soon, now, ever or never,
What should we care?
He came as he told me,
To stay.
No, I did’t mind.
My death and I are good friends,
Both waiting for the call,
The silent song of peace,
The well of boundless love,
The biggest joke to us
Eternals.
